And the list continues...

And I left off at...

Obviously I have to go with The Odyssey because that book was just so overwhelmingly enjoyable to read.- 5- What did you expect? It didnt seem all that bad (from what I read.) but it wasnt no Twilight either (You should really consider assigning that as a mandatory reading assignment Mr. Cheng.) Also I have officially come to terms with the fact that I CANNOT understand Homer at all.
Poseur- 6- This is a really pointless book that encourages stupidity, in my opinion.
Quoquo the native american. ?? ?? ??
Revelation- 8- A Vampire book that doesnt involve Edward Cullen. *GASP* This is book is reeeeaaalllly interesting once you get into it....it's very fantasy though. Obviously.
Sappho's Leap- 9.5- I dont usually like these kind of books...the ones about mythology, but after reading Sappho's Leap i wondered if maybe my tastes have changed. This book blends just the right amount of greek mythology, History, romance, and poetry for the perfect action/drama/histoy lesson!! I highly recommend this book.
Twilight!!(Obviously. I am a teenage girl after all)- 10- Edward is hot, AND the story line is really complicated and mature! Bella is an idiot though. They really just need to kill her off, in the nicest way possible. Ahh a story about the Cullens, yes that would be nice.
Ur kidding me right?
Vampire Kisses- 8- Ahem. Lovely title, isn't it? Well it is a good book, a little bit cheesy, but hey, it IS a book about a vampire. I just dont understand why Vampires are associated with black and evilness...some vamps are good!! Like Edward!!
Xerxes- ?- I read part of a short bibliography about him. What kind of rating am i supposed to give? It's a bibliography...
You made me love you- 3.5- Misleading title, Its hardly even about love...it's more about...crisis's...and three sisters.
Zokay like thats gonna happen.

Listing is fun...and yet incredibly boring.

Today I'm going to do something unique. Which, believe it or not, Actually has alot to do with reading Mr. Cheng. :]
I'm going to do the ABC's with random book titles.
AND, get this, They have to be books I HAVE read!
ALSO I will give the book a rating on a 1 to 10 scale and write a small description on why I so humbly gave it this rating.
Angels and Demons- 9.5- I got this book for christmas and am on page 200 or so. So far this book intrigues the heck out of me and beckons me to read page after page. Also ever since reading this book I really wanna work at CERN, if only it was a real company...oh wait!! IT IS!! i smell an oppurtunity...AND my new favorite word is ambigram...just thought i'd mention that.
Born on a blue day- 9- This was a very interesting book on autism. It gave me a new outlook and made understand alot better about what autism truly and how it affects the person and the people around the person with autism.
Coraline- 9- Did you know they are know making this book into a movie? I read it when I was like...10! I would suggest this book to anyone who enjoys creepy fiction/ fantasy.
Davinci Code- ?- Ok. So I havent exactly got around to actually reading this yet but I got it for christmas and am really looking forward to reading it after i finish Angels and demons. I heard it was fantastic!
Exit here- 5- Actually i got so bored o this book i stopped more than half way into it. It's about a recovering drug addict. I really just dont like stories about drugs in general. They all seem so whiney.
Fatherland- 8-This book was creepy but insightful. I hate scary books but enjoy learning and seeing different points of view. Basically the conclusion i made from this book was simple and hardly different than the one I had before; I hate adolf Hitler and am disgusted by the Holocaust.
Gangsta rap- Not exactly a book but so much as a coloring book, which technically is a book, I guess...I saw this in a store somewhere in CA and its the only G book(ish) title I could think of.
How i paid for college- 8.5- About a rich kid who's dad doesnt want to pay for acting school....the story of how he pays for his tuition. Basically sums it up. But hey, its pretty juicy at times.
Illiad- 7- Yeah. I was planning to be in enriched english but then I decided not to AFTER i purchased The Illiad, so i read it for fun. Not Bad, I mean not great, but it had alot of action and drama, even though I had no idea what Homer was talking about most of the time.
Jello- I cant think of a book that starts with a J so i decide to just say something...
Kaayyyyyy, I have no idea.
Last Christmas- 9.5- I LOVE THE PRIVATE SERIES, LOVE EM' LOVE EM' LOVE EM'. Although I'd advise reading the first six (or is it seven?) books before reading Last Christmas, which is Ariana's POV.
My sisters keeper-9- This is such a sad book. I can't imagine being brought into this world for the sole purpose of being someones back me up. Gosh, talk about parents favoring one kid over another.
New Moon- 8- FINISHED!! Very good but very dry...up until about page 437...then comes Edward, Volturi, The Cullens, Family Crisis's and DRAMA....Yummy yummy.

Christmas <3

FAVORITE DAY.
This is my tribute to Christmas...
Why, you ask? Why NOT.

CHRISTMAS.
Oh Christmas, My holly jolly christmas, so white and pure, yet colorful and decorative.
Thick with a sweet sent of pine, an aroma of joy. (Not quite sure what joy smells like, but we'll go with that.)
Let it snow, let it tumble down from the heavens. I'm dreaming of a white christmas.
Family and friends come togeather around the world, celebrating the birth of our savior, celebrating life in itself.
Sipping hot cocoa by the fire, hypnotized by blinking lights, a tree draped with candy canes.
The angel is placed on her watchtower, the very top of the decorative and illuminated tree, another year of tradition continued.
The hustle and bustle Christmas brings only adds to the anticipation.
Hands are pressed togeather in excitement.
Childrens stomachs flip as their stockings are placed next to the tree, Santa will fill it to the brim with goodies.
Christmas eve is a time of appreciation and wonderment, what does tomorrow hold?
Night comes and every child is wired, their eyes wide, their ears searching for the jingle of santa's sleigh.
Did you remember to set out the milk and cookies?
Morning comes and families tumble down stairs to see what Saint Nick has brought.
Faces brighten with warm smiles as generous gifts are exchanged, some great and others needing to be returned, either way it is an honor to be thought of on such a joyous occasion.
Families are reunited and unrequited joy is spread throughout the world...if only for a day.
I cant wait until next year.
CHRISTMAS.

I LOVE CHRISTMAS and strongly believe that no matter how materialistic our society becomes Christmas will never loose its meaning; the birth of Jesus, Christians lord and savior. Whether you are religious or not that's simply what it IS. It should be a day of appreciation, Faith and gratitude and should be spent with your loved ones.

I confess..Im a twilight fanatic...

Well, i'm currently reading New Moon...I know, I know...How common of me. The beginning is really dry until you get to the part where Jacob confesses he's a...DUN DUN DUN...WEREWOLF!! Which happens to be the part i'm at right now. It obviously wasn't that surprising Jacob turned out to be werewolf...They kind of hinted to it in the first book. It seems Bella just can't keep danger away from her. Things that go bump in the night* are drawn to her! Well i need to stop this blogging and go read!!

*Anyone care to explain that saying to me? What is the relation with dark creatures and "bumping"?? Yo no comprendo.

Ahem. Well, I was just reading an assignment for AP world and thought I would use it for my lovely and creative English blog.
This article was about the spanish conquistadors and how they dominated the Indians of the Americas through cruelty and false claims. According to the Encomienda system the spanish were supposed to trade currency for the Indians labor and basically slavery. The spanish became the Indians masters while the Indians never recieved the money they were promised, instead they recieved only gruesome and harsh treatment. Finally thanks to the Council of the Indies (established by Charles V) The Indians were finally able to have some say in their treatment. Then thanks to the speeches of Las Casas the Indians were finally recognized as free!! YAY!! This does not make up for the way the Indians were treated though. The things the Indians as a society and group of people had to endure was horendous! The conquistadors would literally grill children, scewer men and cut out the fetuses from pregnant women! All in the pursuit of unconquered territory. It disgusts me!

OK. I don't know if this counts as a READING blog but I figured Hey! It's creative. (Also I have no interesting reading material handy.)
So, Mr Cheng, I'm going to copy Mitch.
AND keep in mind, TECHNICALLY I have to READ the song titles....
TEN SONGS (Ipods on shuffle)....What they make me feel/see/think/do?/wanna do?
1.) Gasoline by Audioslave- Feeling daring...haha. Its one of those songs that makes me think I can do something I so obviously canNOT...like climb a wall...or do a flip off of a building.
2.) Spybreak! by Propellerheads- Car chase! Very 007...I can honestly say I wanna be a spy...while listening to this song. Well it gets kind of boring and repetitive after a while...Now it's just starting to sound Pin Pantherish. I'm done.
3.) Papercut by Linkin Park- This song definetly makes me want to sing/rap along with the words. It also makes me do some weird facial expressions...?like angry?...I also feel paranoid. Just thought i'd add that.
4.) The Dome Megamix by Scooter- Omigosh! I am totally gonna have a dance party and play this song. Haha, I cant help but laugh and dance to this song...especially when the Irish pipes come in. Thats great. "EVERYBODY SHOUT! COME ON!"
5.) Otsegolation by Static X- The beginning makes me feel like im part of a hardcore gang that's getting ready to go raid a huge industrial plant...yes my mind is THAT creative and graphic. Well now its just getting annoying...I can't even understand what they're saying. Something about Affirmation? Oh wait. They are probably saying Otsegolation. Nice connection Kayla.
6.) I Believe in a Thing Called Love by The Darkness- CUTE! I wanna prance through a meadow...with flowers falling around me. Then I wanna float into the sky and sit on a rainbow! Yep, that should about cover it.
7.) Testify by Rage Against the Machine- I dont know why but this song makes me think of college...hmmm. It doesnt make sense because this song has absolutely NOTHING to do with college. OH! Wait actually this song makes me think of a burning house...well, thats not a happy thought...NEXT!
8.) Opticon by Orgy- I'm a robot! I can't control myself!! I LOVE this song!! Here is the story playing out in my head according to the song....So theres a fashion show going on, lights are flashing music is playing and people are walking the runway. All of a sudden aliens crash land from their glowing spaceship and everyone screams and freaks out but the aliens just wanna walk the catwalk, so they tie the bystanders to their seats and start walking with the models. Everyone is laughing and having fun....and then it ends....??
9.) Blue orchid by The White Stripes- Hmmmm...I wish i could go to a drive in theater...in Australia, for some reason. HERE. I'll type according to the beat....random keys....o dont expect it to say something... idjjslfjf jflf kfkjfm kdfkf kfkjflklow as' mjsl;kufu kwo4-um -pr- alvkjhf idgfkas lske 58ths swlka7ys.l lkdlxiu blueorchard.
10.) The Middle by Jimmy Eat World- I feel kind of whiney but also relieved while listening to this song...I also want to go surfing...or just be on the beach...running and running and never stopping, just to escape. This song also makes me think about my future and what i wanna do with it. EEGGHH this song is scaring me!! NEXT!

WELL I'M DONE!
I hope this works Mr. Cheng!
IHOP I HOPE IHOPE I HOP. Wow, one little vowel can change a word so much. :D

Today I was watching a show on the History Channel that was about Ancient prophecies predicting the rise of Hitler. There was the famous Sodenberg who prophecized hitler through his writing, he caused alot of commotion and controversies between translaters and researches because there is no way to know if these prediction are completely specific or spontaneous.
So basically Sodenberg was psychic. I would kind of want to be psychic but at the same time kind of not. Just because i'd feel like there would be too much pressure on me; I would know more than anyone could. So that would be scary, especially if the prediction was like...the world is gonna end tomorrow. Yeah, that'd be freaky.

Wednesday, December 3, 2008

So I was watching this show "Pushing Daisies", and its really good! Its about this guy who can bring the dead back to life, but only for one minute because otherwise the deceased will go on living but someone else will die in that persons place. It could be anyone, ANYONE! This got me thinking....there would be so many sad and weird things people would tell you, because you're the only one around....their dying wishes....secret recipes?....whether they were murdered or not??!!! That would be so creepy, because then you would basically be obliged to avenge them. I'd feel privileged yet cursed, ya know? Hahah well yeah...That's my opinion. :D

Wednesday, November 26, 2008

So...I was watching Gossip Girl today. I really wish I lived in NY!!! Seriously, i\I think that would be the coolest thing ever. Actually I think they glamourize it a alot in GG though. Still, I wish I could go to private school like Serena and Blaire!! haha :D
You know what I think is really weird and stupid about this show....they have a freaking 15 year old (Jenni) living on her own(or with a friend, same difference) Roaming the streets of NY late at night and TRYING TO START HER OWN BUSINESS. She's younger than me and she is waayyy more succesful not to mention much more experienced in life. Jeezz....I'm so jealous.
So that's basically all I have to say....I'M GOING TO WISCONSIN TONIGHT! :D

James Bond...

I needed a break from The luxe. Sooooo, today my outside reading blog is about James Bond...Quantum of Solace...what that has to do with the movie, I have no idea....sounds cool...but very misleading, well not really....nevermind....god i'm even ackward in my writing.....hahah. Anyway I thought it was good, but I havent seen the other...what, 23 movies, so I really had nothing to base my opinion off of. On the plus side Daniel whateverhisnameis (The actor who plays James Bond) has dreamy eyes. I think that may have been the best part of the movie. On the down side, apparently James Bond does NOT smile, I dont think i saw him smile once in the whole movie, or make a different facial expression besides wannabe blue steel (zoolander) for that matter. Well basically I thought it was good but I wouldnt want to see it again. There, THE END.

I still dont get how Quantum of Solace fits into the movie!!

Scanddyy. :D

Oh My Gosh!! Elizabeth is in loooooveeee with Will, Will is in love with Elizabeth!! They are in love with eachother!! Woah. Did NOT see that coming. Will and Elizabeths relationship is complicated because, in terms of wealth and social status, Will is waaaayyy below her....i mean he's technically her employee, so they really can never be togeather publically, its forbidden love, how romantic...hahah. However, even though they cant be with eachother exclusively it doesnt mean they cant be with eachother privately...and they're with eachother privately...oh they are definetly with eachother privately....quite often infact. I feel so bad for Lena though, she loves Will, like seriously LOVES him, and "Miss Holland" is so rude to her. I predict that Henry is going to get an arranged marriage to Elizabeth, making it even more difficult for Elizabeth and Will to have their private time...This is where Lena will swoop in and mend Will's broken heart.

What will happen next?!! Arent you just dying to find out??

I'm getting so sick of The Luxe...

Chapter 6. In this chapter we are introduced to Elizabeth Holland's maid, Lina. Elizabeth is unusually demanding of her maid, considering they used to be good friends. Lina recalls many nights her and Elizabeth, or Lizzy, as she was called, would play togeather with a priveleged boy named Will Keller. Lina fell in love with Will the first moment she met him, and has remained in love ever since. It's really quite romantic. As they all grew a status barrier wedged its way inbetween Lina and "miss Holland", as she insists on being called. Even though elizabeth and Lina grew apart, Lina and Will remained somewhat friends. Although, they have to meet with eathother at odd hours because of the social barracade. One night when Lina goes to their usual private meeting place Will insists she leaves and repetively tells her "just not tonight." Lina is heartbroken and taumatized, she sits in the dark of the kitchen for what seems like hours until she hears a door open and sees a womans figure go into her and Will's secluded spot....It was Elizabeth Holland.

DUN DUN DUN
Do i smell trouble?
Tune in this wed. to find out what happens next. haha

The Luxe. Chapter 5. Or was it chapter 6? Eh, whatever. Chapter 5/6 starts out with a new character Henry Shoonmaker having an unpleasant conversation with his father....the subject wasnt all that unpleasant...just the tone of voice....i'm sensing there are some unresolved daddy issues with this Henry kid.
So it seems like all the parents in this book are insisting their children get married as soon as possible....i dont get it. Maybe this is the message of the book. Maybe i'm just missing the concept. MAYBE its a rich&famous/Manhattenelite/socialbutterfly thing.....hmmmm? Oh yah. HENRY HAD SEXUAL INTERCOURSE WITH PENELOPE. :D
Prediction: Bad boy Henry Shoonmaker is arranged to be married to good girl Elizabeth Holland.

Sunday, November 9, 2008

The Luxe. Chapter 4. Excited?
So this chapter we're introduced to Penelope and Isaac...and thats about it. Penolope is percieved as a spoiled bratty socialite. She hardly distingsiuhes friends from enemies considers Elizabeth (her supposed BFF) to actually be her biggest and most prominent rival. From what i've read about her thus far i'm guessing she's gonna be the cold blooded killer in the story....yeah. Isaac on the other hand seems like a funny, fun-loving guy. Oh yeah and i guess the ball they're at is actually a masquerade ball because Isaac is wearing a jester costume and, well, to be honest i have to hope its a costume ball because otherwise Isaac is officially creepy. Well, i'm taking an educated guess and saying hes gay....There was a mention of Isaac and *ahem* the "luring" of men...not gonna go into details....but yeah. So that's my prediction. Along with my previous prediction.

:]

Wednesday, November 5, 2008

Alright, well....I got to chapter 4. WOOH.
OK so, chapter 3 starts out with Elizabeth Holland (The dead girls friend i think?) talking with some friends about her envious trip to Paris, much to all of their dissapointment Elizabeth is interupted by her mother and is being told she is wanted for a numerous amount of dances in the ballroom. (They are at a classy shindig :P) Elizabeth unwillingly but politely obliges and is forced to dance with disgusting percival coddington. Before this Elizabeths mother hints to being in possible debt or having immense money problems. Starting in chapter 4 the POV switches to Diana, Elizabeths younger sister, Diana is portrayed as a rebel teenager who is desperatly seeking some action, she even goes so far as to make out with a 20-something year old! (shes only 15) Diana makes a very clear point as to let us, the reader, know "she's had much better." I predict that Diana will get pregnant with Percival's baby because he was the one she "had better with."
I also predict that Percival, unaware of his and Diana's unborn child, will ask Elizabeth to marry him.
And that is probably completely wrong.

DadadadadaDA DAAHH.

OK. For some reason this would not post lastnight. I swear, i'm not making this up.
Anyway, For yesterdaysoutside reading assign. i read the first chapter of The Luxe. Considering the first chapter was spent briefly mentioning characters and describing the setting of a funeral i didnt get much insight as to what the book will actually be about. A murder perhaps? Mystery? Hmmmmm.... It did briefly mention a supposed "friend" (note the air quotes and the use of supposed) who was with the deceased at the time of her accidental drowning. A coincidence? I think not. And please, what would a book with a title like The Luxe be without a scandal. Boring, thats what.
Stay tuned this wednesday for descriptions of the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, maybe even 5th chapter if i'm feeling Reeady.(Pronounced: Read-ee, Verb: To have the urge to read.) And yeah I did just make up my own word, if you were wondering. Jealous? :P

Wednesday, October 29, 2008

Hmmmm....?

I just finished watching the show "Everybody Loves Raymond". Now I usually dont watch this show but, pleh, i was bored. So basically Robert got a premotion on the same day Raymondrecieved the bad news that his book idea was declined. This accomplishment caused Ray to become jealous and sarcastic towards his brother, whereas he should have been happy for Robert instead of acting cold and bitter. After seeing this I was hit with the realization that everyone compares and contrasts everything; thereself, eachother.....everything. I mean, I know I do. The thing is, when I compare people or items, I dont exactly realize i'm doing it, it's an every day thing, no biggy...something my subconcious has control over. I understand that I really need to start becoming aware of this bad habit because, to put it simply, people aren't meant to be compared, comparing is just a flatter, less complicated version of judging. Something i honestly want no part of. People are all made differently for a reason, and the person they are today is formed from their past accomplishments....or failures...no one really has any idea the hardships someone might have gone through in order to transform into the modified, individual person they call "self"....Even if you think you know everything there is to know about someone, there are still things no one will ever know....perhaps because they dont even know it themselves. ??WRAP YOUR MINDS AROUND THAT, EHHH??
Sorry to go all Preacher/Karate Kid/Jedi Master on you guys. :P

Poseur....well then.

Hello! For todays outside reading blog i decided to read a couple chapters in this pretty looking book called Poseur. Yep, i'll never get those 20 minutes back. As you can [hopefully] guess, i did not like this book, infact this book made me want to punch myself in the face repetively. Honestly, this book is a core contributor for suicides.
So, Poseur is about a group of four bratty over priveleged teenage girls who all have a passion for fashion in their own uniquely individual ways. A stylish socialite, an intreverted punk, a cocky baby phat wannabe, and a total hippie all [unwillingly] team up to create a label like no other. The dialogue is so valleygirl and the outfits the author describes dont even sound cute! This, my friend, leads to quite dissapointing imagery. Also, did I mention the private school all these girls go to is called Winston prep? Winston prep!! Hahaha. HA. Dont get me wrong, i'm not trying to be mean, I just think the author tries to relate to "moder day teenagers" waaaaay too hard. Well, if you enjoy simple, boring books, and happen to be a psycho fashionista i'm 100% positive you will enjoy this book immensly.

P.S. The strange thing is; the more i read, the more I couldn't stop reading!! Even though the book sucked beyond words. And thats where they getchya'.

Tribute to Animal Heroes.

Nowadays people considered "heroes" always seem to have a motive behind their incentive, whether its personal debt or feeling pressured and forced by your so called "moral righteosneous" it seems like no one does anything just out of friendly human nature anymore. The only place it seems kindness isn't traded for credit or repayment is when you're dealing with animals. Animals have contributed so much to society and ask nothing in return. They obey ridiculous commandments and are happy with nothing more than a pat on the head for gratitude, they take what they can get. I believe animal heroes are some of the best kind of heroes because everything they do is out of pure instinct and unswaggering loyalty, animals never doubt their commitment and just do what comes naturally to them. This is the way Humans should live, maybe then we would be a more endearing and friendly society.

Animals have always had a large role in criminal justice. They have given their time and energy in hopes of pleasing their human companions and have worked hard to save people in a society they can hardly relate too. Dogs, specifically have done a wonderful job in discovering and busting drug pushers and locking crimianls behind bars.

Here is another example of an animal in the field of human servitude who has dedicated his/her life to tending to the needs of another....species, might i add. Guide dogs have been trained to love and care for their owner, service dogs live their life without judgement or biased opinions and gratefully assist their partners as best as they can. If it wasnt for them many people would suffer through their disablility much more than they do already.

This represents one of the many articles that have been written dedicated to animal heroes and the amazing rescue stories and kindness contributed by them. Animals recieve prestigous awards every year for their outstanding courage and dedication.

Okay. So I seriously hope you've watched the movie Lassie. If you havent, go watch it. LIKE NOW. This basically shows how a human can feel a bond with a dog and how a dog can feel such a deep connectionwith his companion as to try to rescue him from a well. A WELL! This theme of "animal saving human" is Thouroughly shown through a variety of books and movies. You wanna know why?? BECAUSE IT HAPPENS. OFTEN.

Animals stick with us through thick and thin. They offer warmth in the coldest of times. They grow with us and are a sentimental shoulder to cry on. But most importantly Animals are a friend, a savior, a privelage, and a hero. They should be an inspiration and a motivation to us all. We, as the human race, should learn to be half as heroic as them.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ls7YYo8oddQ
THIS BASICALLY SPEAKS FOR ITSELF. WATCH IT. AH-MAY-ZING.

P.S. Go to google and type in loyalty. What's the first picture that shows up?

The Unspeakable Odyssey of The Motionless Boy

Wow. I feel so lucky to be healthy. This article is about a boy who is almost completely paralyzed, all but the upward and downward movements of his eyes. He can't even blink. Luckily his physically health was spared, although little good it does him seeing how he's hardly able to communicate. I can't begin to imagine what it would be like to have "locked in syndrome", I honestly can't say with confidence whether i'd want to go on living or not. I extremely admire Kennedy for trying to help Erik, the paralyzed boy, and all victims of this terrible syndrome, through research and advancement concerning technology. I desperatly hope and believe that someday technology will succeed in allowing patients of LIS the ability to communicate with people through talking computers and brain waves.

T_T<-I'm sad.

Jeez, people in situations like this must have so much to say (Not to mention so much bottled energy, think of sitting there all day constantly watching people actively do things you may never have the oppurtunity to participate in again). I, as an able mind and body take walking, writing, speaking, socializing, and participating in physical activity for so much granite. I feel like I've wasted so much time! If I was to die or become paralyzed tomorrow I wouldn't feel fulfilled at all. This inspirational story has encouraged me to look at everyday as a gift meant to be honored and thoroughly appreciated. I'll start tonight. :]

Reaching Nirvana

As Siddhartha's journey comes to an end, I must say I truly believe he has reached Nirvana. Though the pathway which led him to this state was difficult and filled with definite highs and distinct lows, Siddhartha conquered his temptations and reached a permanent state of contentment. Throughout his life Siddhartha has tested and overcome many different lifestyles and has met many different people, all which have bestowed teachings of immense value and importance. With these different lifestyles and human beings, Siddhartha was able to experience a varity of emotions including greed, lust, envy, anger, joy, and possibly even a hint of love, an emotion he thought he would never be gifted with. He even had a child with a courtesan!

Though all these mini stories had a huge influence in forming Siddhartha as a whole, it wasnt until he settled into the simple life of a ferrymen, that siddhartha was able to truly see the two seperate worlds which consume modern daily life, he realized that if we could cross this line and create, or find, unity, we could finally reach an ultimate state of peace. Siddhartha would not have been able to do this if he didn't venture off on his own in hopes of finding his own way. He rightfully believed that Knowledge is teachable though Wisdom is not. One becomes wise over time and life experiences. Through experiencing life as a semi-normal individual Siddhartha was able to combine normalcy (including human feelings and sins) and an uncharted height of knowledge (only obtained by Siddhartha) to find his self, which helped him see the world in a new and brighter light.

This is why I, Chichipilliwii...ii...(what's my name again?) whole heartedly believe my good friend Siddhartha has reached Nirvana. I only wish that I too may someday be so lucky. Though i am an old woman now, who will doubtfully live a year longer. It has pleased me to watch Siddhartha grow and learn. I will follow him until the day i too become one with the universe. Siddhartha has always been percieved as wise, deep and extremly complicated, But as i have grown with him and learned his ways, i feel as though Siddhartha may be rather simple, so simple, infact, that we are physically unable to comprehend the way his mind works. By finding simplicity and unity in all things, including his self, Siddhartha was able to reach his ultimate life goal; enlightenment.

Congrats Sidd! :]

Last Christmas....The end.

Okay. Soooooo, I just finished Last Christmas and was thoroughly pleased with the ending. It was really suspenseful, mysterious and.....just.....great! Thomas ends up dumping Ariana for the first hot sophmore he sees (figures) and Ariana ends up going psycho with passion and obsession. Not exactly a happy ending. Anyway, the reason i liked the ending was because it was hinting at a possible future murder Ariana was maybe/kinda/gonna attempt, and guess who its on, Thomas's new GF. (how predictable is that?) Drama, drama, DRRAAAMMMMAA. So we can conclude that thomas is a total player/jerk, i'm actually surprised Ariana didn't kill him. Now THAT would of been a twisted ending. :] But, like i said, i'm happy with how Last
Christmas closed and cant wait to read more with the next book.

P.S. If you ask me, this series has waaaayyy too much unnecessary drama, by this point wouldn't you have just left the school... jeez, these kids aren't very bright.

Last christmas....kshakehwuondo!

OMIGOSH. I'm almost done with Last Christmas! It's intense. Ariana just killed the wrong person because she thought he took scandalous pictures of her forbidden romance with thomas. She thought the photagrapher was gonna use the pictures to blackmail them. I for one, am appalled. Now not only does Ariana feel terribly guilty (which she should!) but she feels paranoid as well. I cant wait to read what unfoils next! Will her BF, Daniel,( who lied abouty being a virgin, to get into Ariana's pants BTW.) notice shes been creeping behind his back? Does it matter? Will they be able to work it out? Who was the photographer? Who will Ariana kill next??

Personally, I think Ariana is getting too attached to Thomas, she needs to stop being so clingy and obbsessive, or else Thomas is definetly gonna dump her. Like seriously.

OK. The end.

Last christmas

I just finished reading the first two chapters in Last Christmas , part of the Rrivate series by Kate Brian. These chapters were very shocking because I got to see the world through Ariana's eyes. She seems to have the perfect boyfriend, perfect friends, all and all, perfect life. The only exception to all of this is Thomas, the bad boy. She knows he's no good for her, so why does she yearn for him so? I, as the reader, never thought Ariana would ever take any action on this forbidden romance, but, like usual, I was wrong. I cant wait to read the next chapters and discover if anything else stems from this curious love affair. Or, even better, if someone finds out about Thomas and Ariana. Then, it seems, Ariana's envious life may not be so perfect anymore.

Dear whoever,
I have some advice to ask of you. My friend, Siddhartha, is troubling me with the way he is acting. He has become greedy and envious of others, two things i was sure he would never become. He lusts after money, women and food and has become obsessed with the high from gambling. "He loved that anxiety, that terrible and oppressive anxiety which he experienced during the game of dice, during the suspense of high stakes." Siddhartha has even lost his 3 ways which once consumed his life: thinking, fasting, and waiting. I am afraid he has become callused, unhappy and cold, dare i say...ordinary. I'm afraid Siddhartha has lost his path. "His face assumed the expressions which are so often found among rich people- the expressions of discontent, sickliness, of displeasure, of idleness, of lovelessness."
-Chichi

Dear Chichi,
It seems as though what you say is true, Siddhartha has lost his way. Maybe try talkng some sense into him, or guiding him back onto his rightful path. OR if this doesnt work, we must trust in siddhartha to make the right decision, but in his own time. From what you say, Siddhartha is very knowledgeable and seems to know the virtues and values of life. Think of this wasted ten years as a detour in Siddhartha's life. A detour which will contribute to the growth of his knowledge and outlook on life, this will also assure him in the way which he believes in. I think this mistake may have been all part of an unseen path for Siddhartha.

The Private Series...Siddhartha style.

Chichi: Siddhartha, I just finished reading the book Revelation and was shocked to find out that Ariana's psycho sister, Sabine, was plotting against reed, her supposed best friend, from the moment she met her, planning to kill her in fact! All because of a "theory" that Reed drove her sister to insanity and is the sole reason Ariana was placed into mental therapy. What is your opinion on why people betray and hate one another?
Siddhartha: Well Chichipilliwilldi, this girl, Sabine, is obviously suffering from severe mental instability if she is at the point of killing. In my opinion, Sabine would benefit greatly from strong meditation, if she would just take the time to self reflect and try to learn some of the many things the world has to teach her she would undoubtedly be much less hostile toward people. Betrayal is such an ugly word, as is hate. Ironically enough, though, hate is interlinked with betrayal and vice versa. People hate and betray because they do not know what else to do to release their anger. This brings me back to meditation; if people could learn to quiet themselves and become one with Earth and the self their anger would melt away and would be replaced by tranquility.
Chichi: Ahh yes, you are completely right Siddhartha. I only hope that one day I may be half as insightfull as you.
Govinda: Chichi, Siddhartha has just bestowed upon me the terrible news that he is leaving. The illustrious ones techings do not please him. What should i do? How will i survive without him?
Chichi: In the words of siddhartha "You are a grown man and have chosen your own path." You must learn to accept the fate that you and siddhartha have different goals which you both must reach by the parting ways.
Govinda: But i feel so abandoned.
Chichi: Govinda, Siddhartha is different from you. You have always been a follower. "You have always gone a step behind Siddhartha." now it is time for you to break free, find your own path, but most importantly, become a leader. Siddhartha will revolutionize the world and you as well will have an impact. It is for the best Govinda, you will see.
Govinda: Well, i guess i must try to understand the deep labyrinth that is siddhartha's mind.
Chichi: Be at peace Govinda, you will see.

If you ask me, i think Govinda is being rather childish when it comes to Siddhartha's and his seperation. I mean, Govinda's a grown man for God sakes! He needs to choose his own path and believe in what he believes in, not what others have taught him to believe in. In my opinion there is no one greater or more wise than Siddhartha, not even the illustious one! Maybe in time Govinda will realize his mistake and come crawling back to Siddhartha and i, or maybe he wont. Either way i know i've made the right decision. I will stay with Siddhartha until the fated end.

I hope Govinda is always well.

This is Chichipilliwilldi, she is one of Siddhartha's loyal followers. She loves and believes deeply in Siddhartha, and wishes nothing more than to reach enlightenment alongside him. Also, Chichipilliwilldi is Govinda's younger sister. She is very dissapointed with her brothers decision to devote himself to The Buddha instead of following the right way which she strongly believes to be the path Siddhartha has set upon.
